OK, maybe thats just me, but isn't there a typo in the Mechanics skill? In eve it is "Mechanics" and so it is exported by EVEMon, but used in EFT as "Mechanic" (see the missing s at the end) Thats why no Armor-Repper "works" and everything.
If I remove the s in the CHR-File everything works as designed.
Bug in EFT? Bug in EVEMon? I tend to EFT, as the skill is called Mechanics in the game.
Before any questions arise: I have to use EVEMon for the exports, because I sit behind a proxy-server using authentication at work and didn't get EFT to work through that. |

Why is this? Bug or some confusing way the overheat works?
Running the march 29 release.
Edit: Corpmate says he get 1:50 on both but I get the same as screenshoot on my laptop as well.
I can confirm this. with the exact same fits.
Swift Shiftslitz wrote: And while I'm here I'd like to throw a suggestion. I want to be able to search the abbrevations i use ingame. For example LSE to browse Large Shield Extender, BCU for Ballistic Control System (Even though this one doesn't make sense since it should be BCS but everyone use BCU short) and CCC for Capacitor Control Circuit etc.
You name the difficulties with this yourself. What abbrevations to use?

Any special chars in the filename? +¦+ñ++ or something simmilar? Client set to German or in English? |

If I export a fitting there is only the Filename e.g. Drake T1 PVE
Try importing while the client is set to English. ATM the XML-Files are localized too. Hope CCP fixes that. Importing does only work, if the file was exported with the same language settings. And EFT exports in English. |

No, because he would not be allowed to use the EVE API then, if I remeber correctly... |

I think it would be useful if it was possible to view effective shield, armour and structure as separate values in addition to the total ehp.

Laurinius wrote:I'd like to make a suggestion: Would it be possible to add charges like ammo or scripts to the cargo when exporting to EVE internal formats? That would be just an extra entry in the XML file. Maybe you could make this optional in the preferences. And it could also be added to the exported ingame browser links in the FitList.html. Laurinius Incidentally, thanks a lot for this great tool +1 I'd like that two, if its not too difficult. |

Either take the DB-Dump kindly provided by ccp (google will help you with that) or use the linke posted in this thread only one page ealier than your post...
At least pretend to invest a bit of effort, will you? |

Looking at those updates on failheap, am I supposed to use "Replace" or "Append"? 0_o
Now, after the patch you will want "Replace", as it replaces the old ships with the new ones.
Take care, because the skill changes are not in the files, so you have to add Battlecruiser or Destroyer manually, if needed... |

Zerubabel Contemplator wrote:I have an issue under Win7-64, Phenom II 955, HD6870 1GB. I get the tooltips to work on every hover except the red skill requirements next to the character name. For that one only the tooltip box appears, large enough to contain a long list of needed skills but there is no text in that box. In version 2.18.1 the text in the box appeared for a fraction of a second, long enoug to register the existence of text, and then blanked out leaving just the box. In 2.19.1 not even the blink of an eye text appears.
There is nowhere to edit the run string in the properties box of the file itself, so I made a shortcut on the desktop. I tried to edit the shortcut on the desktop but windows will not accept the edit for [/oldhints], saying 'the name.."....\EFT2.19.1\EFT.eft /oldhints" in the Target box does not exist.' If I 'pin to - ' taskbar or startmenu the only options on right-click are run or unpin. Can the /oldhints be put in the config.ini file and if so what is the exact syntax?
Zeru Try "...\EFT2.19.1\eft.exe" /oldhints
The quotationmarks should do the difference. |

RFP Selya wrote:EFT still not working with localized XML-files when I try to import fitting from Eve to EFT.
But that is not a bug of EFT, but of EvE itself. No Idea how they get to translate an XML-File for exchanging fits with one another. Thats like Microsoft using localized versions of CVS-files. Whait, they do, actually... |

Drakken Lowenhertz wrote:I'm currently seeing EHP in EFT being higher than it's in game equivalent. Using the latest version of EFT and my char import is fully up to date. Is anyone else seeing this? if not can you think of anything i've done to cause this? EFT uses the set up damage profile (normally just omni 25%/25%/25%/25 damage) while the EVE fitting screen uses your least resistance with 100% damage.
You should get the same values, when you switch to singe type damage in EFT using the least of your resitances |

Drakken Lowenhertz wrote: Thanks for that info, I should have seen that one in the FAQ. Does that mean with an unfitted ship the in game fitting would use EM for the shield then explosive for the armor or does it use the average lowest across the two?
Also seeing that at base hull resist reads as 100% and the effects of a DCU is subracted from this although EHP for hull seems to be working fine.
Weighted Average, so the one damage type that gives you the least EHP over all.

As you have to have that to level 5 anyways, the bonuses are baked into the hull in EFT. |

Amazing work on this tool. Thank you very much!
This is not a bug, but the way EFT calculates the bonuses.
For all T2 ships the skillbonus of the T1 ship is baked into the hull, as you have to have that skill to 5 anyways. |
